Structured Packaging Pathways
We provide two primary packing approaches, selected based on volume, compliance requirements, and commercial structure.
Packed at Source
- Cost-efficient for structured annual contracts
- Reduced handling within the supply chain
- Suitable for industrial manufacturers and ingredient buyers
- Available in multi-layer foil-lined sacks or bulk formats
- GSFi Certification (FFSC22000 and BRC)
- Fully supported by COA, pesticide, heavy metal and microbiological testing
Packed-at-source supply remains fully compliant with UK and EU import regulations and is supported by complete documentation for audit review.
Packed in the UK or EU
- Suitable for customers with high audit sensitivity
- Supports private label and retail-ready formats
- Enables packaging customisation aligned to EU/UK labelling standards
- GSFi Certification
- Facilitates integration into structured quality management systems
Local packing is typically selected by brands and distributors requiring additional packaging flexibility or format variation within their own stored inventory programs.
Packaging Advisory & Technical Support
We actively support customers with packaging selection and procurement guidance.

For example, matcha is highly sensitive to oxygen and moisture exposure. While some brands utilise VMPET laminates, these typically have higher Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) and Water Vapour Transmission Rate (WVTR) compared to aluminium-based structures.
For optimal colour retention, flavour stability, and shelf life, aluminium barrier materials are generally more suitable for matcha powder storage.
We can advise on:
- Barrier performance requirements
- OTR and WVTR considerations
- Foil laminate structures
- Shelf life optimisation
- Packaging material sourcing
Our objective is not only to supply matcha, but to help ensure long-term product performance in market.
